Insurance/Payment Policy

Thank you for considering Douglas Women's Center for your healthcare needs.  Below you will find more information on our payment policies.  Should you have any questions, please contact our business office at 770-941-8662 and we'll be glad to assist you. 

Patients with Insurance:  If your plan requires you to pay a co-pay, the co-pay will be collected when you check in with our front desk. Always call your insurance company if you have questions about your plan’s requirements. Insurance is filed by our office for covered services only.  In order for us to file your insurance, we must have a copy of your CURRENT insurance card. 

Patients Who Are Self-Pay (Those Who Do Not Have Insurance):  Payment is expected at the time of service. 

For your convenience, we accept cash, check, debit, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, as well as most insurance plans. 

Please note, we do our best to participate in as many of the insurance plans available as possible.  However, because insurance companies often have multiple products and plans, please be aware that we may not be network providers for every option offered.   We urge you to contact the number provided on your insurance card to verify that we are in network for your particular plan, even if you see your company in the list below.

Please also keep in mind that insurance company websites are not always accurate when listing participating providers online.  Our providers may be approved, however, an oversight may occur and our names may not appear in their online directory.  We have found this to be true on many occasions. 

Once again, the safest approach is to call the insurance company directly.   Denied claims and unpaid balances are ultimately the patient's responsibility.
